This is a beautiful beach that is at the very end of the road as you go north on the west side of Kauai. In fact, you have to take a really bad dirt road for several miles in order to get to it. If it has been very wet, you may not want to try it. I went there in the winter and the waves were amazing. While a few people went in the water, it really isn't safe at that time of year. Even the backwash from waves that come way up on the beach are powerful and can knock you down. But it is beautiful - the power of the ocean and the beauty of the Na Pali Coast at it's western end. For those of you who like camping, there are some great campsites right off the beach.
