Grosvenor Arch

Grosvenor Arch is part of the new Escalante National Monument in southern Utah. It is about midpoint between Bryce Canyonand Hwy. 89 on an unpaved backroad called Cottonwood Canyon Road. Thisroad is 46 miles of mostly washboard and most of the time you aretraveling at 5 to 10 miles an hour. It seems like someone planned itso that you must take your time and experience the constantly changing landscape, which has an amazing array of colors, unusual formations, and a variety of wildflowers (in the spring). It is a very isolatedroad but I hope some of you adventuresome souls will try it.
