This photo was taken from the scenic drive through Capitol Reef. It shows how quickly the colors change in the rock formations. Many of the natural and geological formations can be seen from this drive, along with a beautiful array of wildflowers in the spring.

To see the park at a closer, more intimate level, there are many trails to chose from - some level and others quite steep. The latter lead to views overlooking the valley with its orchards and the Fremont River flowing through it all surrounded by brilliantly colored cliffs and domes.
